Frequently Asked Questions
Variety Differences
Q: What is the difference between all the varieties and products?
All of our olive oils are 100% cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oils. The difference lies in the olive variety, as each offers a unique flavor profile and is suited for specific uses:
- Fajr (Early Harvest) – High in polyphenols with bold antioxidant benefits; best for oral consumption and drizzling.
- Frantoio – Delicate, balanced, and fruity; ideal for salads and light sautéing.
- Gemlik – Buttery with a mild peppery finish; suitable for high-heat cooking.
- Arbequina – Mild and smooth; perfect for drizzling, dips, and light dishes.
- Oro Verde – Robust and full-bodied; ideal for high-heat cooking.
- Koroneiki – Strong, fruity, and peppery; excellent for dressings, dipping, and finishing.
- Manzanilla – Mild and fruity with a smooth finish, gentle bitterness, and fresh green notes; ideal for everyday cooking and light drizzling.
Q: Which variety is best for oral consumption (drinking)?
For drinking purposes, we recommend Fajr — Pakistan’s First-Ever Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Fajr is exceptionally rich in polyphenols and has very low acidity, making it ideal for those who consume EVOO first thing in the morning for its nutritional benefits. It features a delicate nutty aroma with a distinctive peppery finish — a hallmark of high-quality early harvest olive oil.
Q: Which varieties are best for high-heat cooking?
While we specialize in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, several of our varieties are well-suited for cooking:
- Gemlik – Buttery and smooth with mild bitterness and a gentle peppery finish.
- Oro Verde – Robust and full-bodied; ideal for high-heat cooking.
- Manzanilla – Mild and fruity with a smooth finish and fresh green notes; perfect for everyday cooking.
Q: Do you use wild or cultivated olives?
Our olive oil is made exclusively from cultivated olives and is 100% cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil, ensuring superior quality, purity, and natural flavor.
Q: What is Fajr – Early Harvest EVOO?
Fajr is Pakistan’s first-ever Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil, crafted for those who appreciate bold, distinctive flavors. It has a high polyphenol content and a vibrant peppery profile, making it an excellent choice for oral consumption and antioxidant benefits.
Q: Is your EVOO green?
Color is not an indicator of olive oil quality. Green hues occur due to higher chlorophyll levels retained during early harvesting and cold pressing. Quality is best assessed through aroma and taste, not color.
